Confidence building starts the first day of drill. The main focus of each weekly meeting, led by LTC Menegon and his young officers, is to instill in each cadet a sense of self-discipline, leadership, compassion, and orderliness.

Cadets receive leadership training and are given opportunities to be in leadership roles as squad leaders, company commanders, and staff officers. Cadets develop skills such as motivating others, empathy, patience, supervise junior cadets, and command a group of peers.
Cadets undergo a series of experiences over the years that build confidence, self-esteem, character development, etiquette & social skills, patience & empathy, perseverance, enthusiasm, public speaking, and leadership.

$25 covers cost of a Garrison cap
$50 supports casting and striking medals
$100 for the American flag
$500 provides for a new Dress Tunic which must be special ordered
$1000 funds a tuition & uniform scholarship for a child who wants to join the Knickerbocker Greys
