Leadership is learned by doing. Cadets serve as squad leaders, company commanders, and staff officers, gaining real experience in motivating others, making decisions, solving problems, and accepting responsibility. These practical leadership skills prepare them for success in school, future careers, military service, and community life.
Community service & Etiquette
Cadets learn the importance of service, courtesy, and respect through community involvement and etiquette training. They develop professional social skills, proper table manners, and public speaking while participating in patriotic ceremonies, civic events, parades, and formal functions that foster confidence, citizenship, and leadership.
Cadets build confidence through drill, teamwork, and progressively greater responsibility. As they master new skills and advance from Private to Cadet Colonel, they develop self-discipline, resilience, and the self-assurance to overcome challenges, lead others, and succeed in school, at home, and throughout life.
The Knickerbocker Greys instill integrity, respect, perseverance, compassion, and responsibility. Through mentorship, teamwork, and challenging experiences, cadets strengthen their character, build resilience, improve communication and public speaking skills, and develop the confidence to become honorable, responsible citizens and future leaders.
$25 covers cost of a Garrison cap
$50 supports casting and striking medals
$100 for the American flag
$700 provides for a new Dress Tunic which must be special ordered
$1200 funds a tuition & uniform scholarship for a child who wants to join the Knickerbocker Greys
